When it comes to education our primary goal is to prepare students to achieve success and happiness as adults. Our online learning platform offers students a range of courses that focus on building the social, emotional, and academic skills students need to thrive in the classroom and throughout life.
Each class provides students with an innovative learning experience by allowing students to actively participate in every lesson at a pace they are comfortable with. Courses are available for students to enroll in at anytime and allow access for up to 12 months.
Executive Function Skills For Success:
Executive function, at its core, allows us to execute- or in simple terms: get things done. It is an umbrella term that refers to a set of skills and processes that allow us to execute through completion. In order to do this, students need to develop and apply a range of skills like planning, organizing, prioritizing, and initiating. This course is designed to support students in building executive function skills in a sustainable way by teaching these skills through interactive lessons, activities, and exercises which allow students to take an active role in the learning process. Students will build and improve their executive function skills through awareness, understanding, exploration, and application allowing them to be better equipped to make changes that stick.
Financial Literacy: Practical Money Skills
Students will learn by doing through an instructional approach that allows students to internalize the features of effective writing through step by step guidance on how to write a quality research paper. Students will end this class with a completed research paper and a wide range of strategies to write in a way that effectively communicates what they are trying to say. Students will learn how to narrow down and choose a topic, conduct research, evaluate their sources, organize their research, avoid plagiarism, quote and summarize sources, create a works cited page, apply documentation styles, write solid paragraphs, and so much more.
