Financial Literacy: Practical Money Skills
Teens aren’t typically known for their financial responsibility—yet many are already using complex financial strategies. In order to understand responsible money management we must explore the building blocks of financial decision making- and there are many. Throughout this class we will explore why credit matters, the dangers of debt, researching and buying a car, home, investing, understanding take home pay, and so much more.
Students will participate in various activities that allow them to apply the skills they are learning in an engaging format that allows them to successfully learn the personal finance skills they will need to succeed in life after high school.
This course is available both as a flexible, self paced option and as a live ongoing option.
Self Paced
Option
Suggested Ages: 13-18 Lessons: 16 Cost: $175
The self-paced option does not rely on live meetings. This structure allows learners to enroll in classes that don’t interfere with their own schedules while still providing students with an innovative learning experience by allowing students to actively participate in every lesson at a pace they are comfortable with.
Courses are available for students to enroll in at anytime and allow access for up to 12 months.

Suggested Ages: 13-18 Lessons: 11 Cost: $350
Students have the option to join the full semester for which includes 16 scheduled live lessons or can attend drop in sessions to hone specific skill sets or learn about specific topics like organization, task initiation, or self-monitoring.
The full semester cost is $350 and the drop in session cost is $50 per class.
