Small Group Coaching
Students: Grades 6-12
Small group coaching offers a solution for increasing student productivity while reducing parent supervision and academic monitoring. Limited to six students per session, students are able to benefit from a collaborative setting that offers individualized attention and promotes independence.
This program promotes executive function skill building by incorporating task challenges that require students to apply a range of skills like planning, organizing, managing time, initiating, and self advocating.
Students will receive executive functioning and academic resources and support in a collaborative group setting in a way that promotes student autonomy which creates a relaxed, low pressure environment that removes the feeling of overwhelm and anxiety that often leads to resistance.
Session Duration: 1 Hour
Sessions will focus on the individual needs of the group and can include completion of the following tasks:
-Complete A Task Analysis For A Long Term Assignment
-Advocate Student Needs By Emailing A Teacher
-Get An Assignment Completed and Turned In Before The Due Date
-Create A Weekly Schedule For Completing Homework
-Improve Self Awareness By Completing a Self Monitoring Form
-Create A Mnemonic Device To Remember Key Information
-Plan For an Upcoming Task With The Get Ready, Do, Done Technique
-Get Help On an Individual Assignment or Project
