If your student is struggling to navigate their academic workload successfully they more than likely struggle with executive function. Executive function, in simple terms, allows us get things done. It is an umbrella term that refers to a set of skills and processes that allow us to execute through completion. In order to do this, students need to develop and apply a range of skills like planning, organizing, prioritizing, and initiating.

Because executive function challenges are so complex and present differently in each student, coaching sessions are customized to meet the unique needs of the individual. Using their current academic workload as a springboard, students will practice and apply the range of skills that full under the umbrella of executive function until they build the confidence to take charge of their academic workload both successfully and independently.

Through the coaching relationship, students will learn how to change patterns and build effective habits allowing them to become confident, self-directed individuals who are prepared to lead fulfilling and successful lives.
