EXECUTIVE FUNCTION WORKSHOP

BEF Education provides educational advocacy services for parents and families that are currently in the process of obtaining an IEP or 504 plan and need assistance in effectively planning for their child's education and support in navigating their school's unique special educational services. 

Educational Advocacy offers parents the following:

Consultation to obtain information about their child and provide advice

Review child’s educational records and eval reports

Analysis of current educational program at school

Development of appropriate goals for your child's specific needs

Recommendations for instruction, modifications, and accommodations 

Preparation for IEP/504 meetings to ensure a collaborative solution focused interaction with school personnel

Attendance of IEP/504 meetings and parent teacher conferences

Guidance and follow-up correspondence and accountability 

Continued support and consultation for the remainder of the academic year

Executive Function In The Classroom: A Practical Guide for Educators 

This workshop is designed to support educators in developing a framework for successful classroom management, advising on inclusive, whole class strategies for social, behavioral, and academic success by teaching educators effective strategies to support students in  developing the 8 essential executive function skills that promote independence, learning, and growth within the classroom.

This workshop will cover the 8 executive functions, challenges that show up in the classroom, practical strategies to apply to address the challenges, and expectations to set in the classroom to cultivate an environment conducive to student learning.

Curriculum & Program Consultation Offers Schools The Following:

Advising administrative and teaching staff about the curriculum development and use of material and equipment

Plan and organize teacher training program that would deal with the new classroom procedures and teaching strategies

Carry out tests to measure the effectiveness of the curriculum and ensure that the program objectives are being met

Ensure teaching staff is working efficiently and recommend changes to strengthen teaching skills

Develop instructional materials to be used by instructors and educators

Assessment of student performance in a specific subject area

Implementing changes to the curriculum based on student needs

Surveying students to change programs or curriculum
